2026 Scholarship Application Now Open

The Triangle Native American Society (TNAS) is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2026–2027 scholarship program. This long-standing initiative reflects our deep commitment to supporting Native American students in North Carolina as they pursue higher education and strengthen their communities.

Established in 1985, the TNAS Scholarship Fund was created to assist Native American students working toward an undergraduate degree. Since its founding, the program has supported more than forty students across the state, helping them achieve academic success and pursue careers in fields such as engineering, law, education, allied health, and medicine.

Beyond their professional achievements, many scholarship recipients have gone on to serve as volunteers, mentors, and leaders within their communities—demonstrating the lasting impact of investing in education. We believe these efforts strengthen not only individual futures but also communities across North Carolina as a whole.

At its core, TNAS is dedicated to fostering a strong, connected Native community while honoring the diverse cultural traditions of its members. Through programs like this scholarship.

For the 2026–2027 academic year, TNAS may award up to three scholarships of $2,500 to eligible students.
